This part of the site will be to honor those who have helped in the recovery.  

Obviously, it won't list everyone...as there are so many thousands and thousands that have done
so much..but I will try to list ones that I have personally witnessed.  

If you know of someone or some group that you think has done a lot to help ease the agony
that many have endured and are still enduring as a result of Hurricane Katrina let me know and
I will consider putting them on the list.  

This part of the site should be considered "under construction" for the moment..but I do want to
list a few that helped  in the past months since Katrina.

1.  National Guard-In my opinion..these folks have done an outstanding job of keeping order
      in a very difficult situation.  Of course..in a few cases they might have done a better job..but
      I have seen some amazing results from these folks.

      An example..in Laurel, where we ended up after the storm..the guard ..did a fantastic job
       of getting ice to a lot of people.  The setup near Sawmill Mall was a good example..just
       a tremendous job of getting huge amounts of COLD ice to so many.  Everyone will remember
        just how hot it was..and in our case..we had two Samoyeds.  

2.  The Firemen in Long Beach have always been so nice to both of us...many of them lost their
      homes too..but I don't recall anyone complaining..they are a real asset in my opinion to our
       city.  I imagine they've done a good job all over.  

3.  I appreciate the folks at the library in Laurel.  They were always very nice to me and I appreciate
     this because I needed to use their computers (as all of mine were destroyed in Katrina).  This
      webpage..as primitive as it still is..began on a couple of computers up there.  

4.  The Coke company in Laurel..there was a really nice fellow up there that gave me a bunch of
      free coke...and I appreciated it a lot.  More on this later.  

5.   The folks that have cleaned up so many places ..people from all over the place..just wanted to
       help out...I see it every day.  More on this too.  The house I am in now..it was cleaned up by
       a number of these people!
